Barbara Smith of Paul Ryan Homes spent a lot of time with her father when she was growing up, learning the ins and outs of homebuilding from him. Although she didn’t pursue homebuilding immediately, she came back to the industry following a successful career as a small business owner in another field. As one of the partners of Paul Ryan Homes, Barbara pays particular attention to the detail work in each home, both inside and out, recognizing that it is the details that can make the difference between a home that is simply satisfactory to one that is truly outstanding. Members of the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association, the company is known for the extensive research and planning that goes into designing and building each home. Their philosophy is to build a home that their customers will have pride in for years after the sale.
