Embry Homebuilders

Our fathers, the first Embry Brothers, started developing, building and selling in the late 1940’s after their return from WWII. They were involved with developments in East Lake, Decatur, Dunwoody and Atlanta, Georgia. Some of their larger projects were the Columbia Valley community with more than 250 new homes and the Belvedere area on Memorial Drive.

In the early 1950’s they bought three tracts of land near Chamblee, which they named Embry Hills. This included 200 new homes, shopping, office, commercial and medical buildings. Embry Hills is still considered a prime location today. There were numerous other developments – both residential and commercial – throughout the metro area.

Today, the next generation of Embrys is still building and selling in the metro Atlanta area. With planned sites in counties all around Atlanta, we will build hundreds of new homes and condominiums in the next two years alone. In the next few years we expect to welcome yet another, third, generation of Embry home builders.
